It consistently never connects when I open it up in a project in Logic in 64bit mode. It's honestly been the worst thing to deal with. I've had "NOTHING" but problems with my Access Virus TI2 since the day I bought it. I doubt that is possible without a hardware upgrade though. If the Virus had some internal audio busses so that the multitimbral parts could be routed in to each other, it would be a crazy insane machine. * That having been said, I love the reverb and tape delay. The Virus is a great synth, but it isn't the synth to end all synths. As a performance-oriented synth, the Virus is great, but if you enjoy building wild evolving textures the play themselves, you will probably end up adding something like an Evolver or a Blofeld. * Although it has a very nice mod matrix, the Virus only has two envelopes and 2.5 LFOs (the third LFO is not as powerful as the first two). I don't think the Snow would be cramped or confining at all. I wanted a full-size keyboard, but I do a lot of programming through the soft-knobs under the LCD. * If money is tight, seriously consider the Virus Snow. But the SuperNova doesn't speak USB and isn't in production. The only keyboard I like better is the SueprNova II with its fat and rounded black keys. * If money is no object, the 61 key Virus would be my choice for a synth/semi-weighted controller keyboard. One of my complaints was a software bug, and they made a public release with my fix in it within about six weeks. They quickly and thoroughly debugged my issue. * I had some minor issues with my Virus, but Access tech support was very professional and helpful. Obviously you can't use the VST plugin in Logic. When I asked Ableton support about some issues I was having with the AU plugin in Live, they told me to use the VST version instead. * The VST version of the TI plugin may be slightly better than the AU version. I often use my Virus to control and record my DSI Evolver Desktop * The Virus also makes a fine USB Audio and MIDI interface. * The Virus makes a fine keyboard / knob controller regardless of whether you are running the TI software When I got my own virus, I started using the TI plugin in Logic and later Live. I found it very easy to work with - though I have lots of experience with virtual analogs in the past (Korg MS2000, SuperNova II the usual softsynths).

I bought a Virus TI2 keyboard for use with Logic last year, and it is great as a controller keyboard, standalone synth, or working in TI mode.īefore I bought the 61 key keyboard, I borrowed a Virus TI Polar, and didn't use the TI integration much.
